I moved to Utah 30+ years ago to go to college, and never left. Utah is a unique place, with high mountains, deserts, rivers, and even the Great Salt Lake all within a 6 hour driving radius. I grew up in Saudi Arabia, and travelled all around the world as a child/young adult (and still do travel quite a bit!).
But when I start thinking of adventures close to home, as soon as I start looking at maps, or talking with friends, I understand why people choose to invest in unforgettable experiences by visiting Utah. Utah has something for the explorer in all of us, from the breathtaking peaks of the Uintas to the vibrant and historic Main Street in Park City. And let’s not forget the beautiful landscapes of Millcreek Canyon, where every trail offers a new adventure for you and your furry friend.
One of the hardest things for visitors to Utah—and even for those of us who’ve lived here for years or our entire lives—is discovering the hidden gems that are just a bit off the ‘beaten path’ (without requiring a 5 day trek through the wilderness!) Finding the perfect locations, hikes, and new experiences can be a real challenge. That’s where my insider knowledge comes in. With my local expertise, I can help you choose and guide you through the perfect adventure for you and your pets, ensuring you don’t miss out on ‘the best ‘ Utah has to offer.
I’m a researcher in my day job, and I’m a researcher when it comes to adventures, too. When I’ve got a day off, you’ll find me driving to new locations (snow shoes or hiking boots at the ready!) to find places that are accessible, but aren’t ‘too accessible’ (I don’t actually like sharing my adventures with 100 other people – part of the joy of exploring the outdoors is finding the places that are a bit less trafficked, even when it is busy!). I come back from my adventures with notes (and yes, some photos) so I can always add to my catalog of locations for future pet photography adventures in the high mountains, Park City, and other locations in northern Utah.
