If you’ve been wondering why you haven’t seen as many updates from me on Instagram or Facebook lately, here’s the honest truth: I needed a breather. Social media can be a beautiful thing—it connects us, shares laughter, and lets me peek at your adorable pups doing hilarious or heartwarming things. But I’ve been trading screen time for trail time, focusing more on the adventure dog photography I love so much here in Park City, Utah.
I love dogs, the crackle of a campfire, and the burble-ing of a mountain stream. Whether I’m hiking into the Uinta Mountains with my camera, dodging mosquitoes near the Great Salt Lake, or just wandering a trail under those impossibly blue Utah skies, I’m reminded that real moments—muddy paws, happy tails, wind-blown hair—are what I want to capture in my outdoor pet photography.

I care deeply about this planet, about kindness, and about how we show up for each other. But I’ve come to realize that the best place for me to put that care into action isn’t on a screen—it’s out in the world. So I stepped back.
Instead of doomscrolling, I’ve been dog-walking (or hiking). Instead of commenting, I’ve been listening—to birdsong, to wind through the aspens, to the happy snorts of a pup discovering a squirrel trail. I’ve been capturing moments that aren’t curated, filtered, or sponsored—just real.
Because I believe the best way to face the messiness of the world isn’t by arguing online—it’s by grounding ourselves in it. With muddy boots. With laughter. With shared moments in wide open spaces.
This isn’t a “social media is bad” post. I still check in now and then to wave, catch up on your adventures, and share a favorite photo. But I’ve given myself permission to not live in the feed. And if you’ve been feeling tired, stretched, or just a little over it—you’re not imagining it. And you’re definitely not alone.

So if you’re looking for me, I’ll be out on the trail. Probably with a camera in one hand and a treat pouch in the other—scouting locations for my next dog photography session in the Wasatch or just soaking up the mountain lifestyle that makes this place so special. I’d love for you (and your pup) to join me for an authentic, adventure-filled pet photography experience.
Let’s create something real, something beautiful—and maybe (quite possibly!) even something muddy.
