I’ve got some thrilling news to share with you all — I am now a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) through the esteemed Professional Photographers of America (PPA)! 🎉 This is a milestone that fills me with immense pride and joy, and I’m over the moon to take you through what this achievement means for both me and you, my beloved clients.

What Does Being a CPP Mean?

For starters, becoming a CPP isn’t just about donning a shiny new title, or adding a few extra letters after my name —it’s a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion I’ve poured into my craft. The certification process is rigorous, involving a comprehensive exam and producing a set of technical images that demonstrate my proficiency and versatility in handling various photographic challenges. This requirement ensures that my techniques are up to the mark and that I possess a well-rounded skill set to produce consistently high-quality work, ensuring I meet the high standards set by the PPA. This badge of honor signifies that I’ve got the technical chops, artistic eye, and professional acumen to deliver exceptional quality in every photograph.

Achieving the CPP status has been a goal of mine for some time.  As a self-taught photographer it was an opportunity to hone the knowledge I had, and to learn quite a bit more about the technical aspects of photograph.
